Home RECOGNITION

International Pain Foundation is committed to raising awareness in the healthcare field about pain issues and also in the community. It is our responsibility to provide leadership and give back to the community as much as we possibly can. In recent years, International Pain Foundation has led or participated in many successful events from trade shows, fundraising events, seminars, sponsorships, sports events, and educational activities. Without awards and honors most people will never know what we did. Being recognized by my peers in the pain community on different levels by other patients and organizations has been extraordinary. So many people have earned these awards and honors along with iPain. We are 1 organization made up volunteers from the millions who work to make a difference in others’ lives. It is always nice to be recognized for sharing your stories, helping create tools and resources for others in similar situations with chronic pain challenges. The pain industry and public’s recognition of my personal accomplishments within the pain community from those who offer similar services to what our nonprofit provides is very humbling.

World Autoimmune Arthritis Day 2017
… And your #WAAD17 Nonprofit Race Team Winners are: Grand Champions: International Pain Foundation
2nd Place: Arthritis Consumer Experts
3rd Place: Relapsing Polychondritis Awareness and Support Foundation
4th Place: International Foundation for Autoimmune & Autoinflammatory Arthritis
5th Place: Arthritis Foundation

Thank you to all of the Nonprofit Race Teams who care so much about our community that they understand the need to bring more attention to the AUTOimmune and AUTOinflammatory diseases with Arthritis as a major component. Understanding the differences in the public – from peers/family/friends to policy makers to practitioners – will only lead to more research dollars, earlier detection, diagnosis, and treatments, and less frustration for those patients who constantly have to explain that their ‘arthritis’ is not the same as the more commonly understood degenerative arthritis.

WEGO Health Award Description: It’s not easy to do amazing things in 140 characters -but there are some Leaders who truly excel at it. Creating easily digestible thoughts can be difficult with health stories and research. Whose tweets do you always go looking for? Which accounts are your favorite to follow? Who hosts your “can’t miss” Twitter chat? Let’s celebrate those Leaders using Twitter for their advocacy with an award. Whether they’ve created their own Twitter chat, participate actively in others’ chats, push out words of encouragement or are there for support – they are the model of Twitter for #health.

World Autoimmune Arthritis Day 2015
… And your #WAAD15 Nonprofit Race Team Winners are: Grand Champions: International Pain Foundation
“The World Autoimmune Arthritis Day was a 6 day long education and awareness event. Beginning May 15th and ending the 21st of May, 2015. Prior to the event beginning one of our board members lost her son from irreversible injuries and damage from a car accident. Barby’s dad was hospitalized and her mom passed away so when the race started she was still laying her mom to rest. The day before the race ended my mom was rushed to emergency surgery to have a pacemaker implanted. Another Board Member was hospitalized 2 days before the event ended and we’re thankful for all she put in before that. As a team we pulled through. All of us everywhere work through our pain and struggles. I commend you all for leading, teaching, raising awareness and educating. Thank you” Twinkle VanFleet
