What Is Prostate Cancer
Prostate Cancer is A cancer in a man’s prostate, a small walnut-sized gland that produces seminal fluid. A man’s prostate produces the seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperm. Early warning signs to look for burning or pain during urination, difficulty urinating, or trouble starting and stopping while urinating, more frequent urges to urinate at night, loss of bladder control, decreased flow or velocity of urine stream, blood in urine (hematuria), and blood in semen. The 5-year survival rate for most men with local or regional prostate cancer is nearly 100%. For men diagnosed with prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, the 5-year survival rate is 30%.
