Board Of Directors Board of Directors will interpret the organization’s work and values to the community, represent the organization, and act as a spokesperson. Each will interpret our constituencies’ needs and values to the organization, speak out for their interests, and on their behalf, hold the organization accountable. Attend at least 50 percent of board meetings, committee meetings, and special events. Stay informed about what is going on in the organization. Participate in and take responsibility for making decisions on issues, policies, and other matters. I will not stay silent if I have questions or concerns. Work in good faith with staff and other board members as partners toward achievement of International Pain Foundation goals. In addition, the President, VicePresident, and Secretary will perform the duties listed below.

President shall convene regularly scheduled board meetings, shall preside or arrange for other members of the Board of Directors to preside at each meeting. The board president appoints all committee chairs, reports at each board meeting the budget, help develop fundraising plans, and make financial information available to board members and the public.

VicePresidentshall chair committees on special subjects as designated by the board. Run the iPain Delegates, iPain Celebrity Delegates, iPain Medical Advisory Council, and iPain Volunteer programs.

Secretary The secretary shall be responsible for keeping records of board actions, including overseeing the taking of minutes at all board meetings, sending out meeting announcements, distributing copies of minutes and the agenda to each board member, and assuring that corporate records are maintained
