To put it simple, good pain leads to gains while bad pain is usually an indication that something might be wrong.

  3. Good pain is easily tolerated, but bad pain is usually severe and most times difficult to tolerate.
  4. While working out it is important to know that if you feel pain in your joints (especially knee, ankle or shoulder blade) it is definitely the bad type of pain and you shouldn’t continue the work out until you get some medical attention.
  5. If you feel numbness or a shooting pain spreading then that is definitely not a good sign and you should not only just stop immediately but also visit your doctor.
